    Paul Fegan

    Clinical Director

    MVB MRCVS

    Paul graduated from Dublin University in 1992 and helped establish our practice in 2000. He has two collies called Frankie and Benny at home and is heavily involved in his local Burren Gaelic Athletic Association. He also spends much of his free time treading the boards with his amateur dramatic group, playing golf and going for long walks with his dogs.

    Cathal Grant

    Clinical Director

    MVB MRCVS

    Cathal graduated from University College Dublin in 2001 and has a keen interest in cattle and horse reproduction, although he loves getting stuck in with small animal medicine when he gets the chance. Outside of work, he enjoys volunteering as a football coach and committee member at Mullaghbawn CLG and keeping an eye on his own herd of beef cows.

    Liam Fitzsimmons

    Clinical Director

    MVB MRCVS

    After graduating from Dublin University, Liam worked in mixed practices across Northern and Southern Ireland, where he was able to make the most of his love of local history. He joined us in 2001 and brought his experience in emergency care, canine reproduction and charity work with him. When he’s not looking after his own pets, he loves gardening, beekeeping and visiting historic sites.

    Anna Stefanini

    Veterinary Surgeon

    MRCVS

    Anna is originally from Italy and qualified as a vet surgeon in 2015, before completing an internship in Troytown and echocardiography and bull fertility courses. She joined us in 2019 and loves working as a mixed animal vet. When she’s not taking care of our patients, she enjoys travelling, horse riding, playing outdoor sports and listening to music.

    Kate Toland

    Veterinary Surgeon

    Kate grew up in County Meath and graduated from University College Dublin in 2022. She is kept busy with a range of small and large animal cases, but has a passion for equine work. When she’s not working, she enjoys horse riding, taking long walks in the countryside and going on camping trips.

    Emma graduated from Dundalk Institute of Technology in 2015 and joined the Newry team in 2022. She enjoys inpatient care and takes great satisfaction in seeing her patients go home healthy and happy. When she’s not working, she spends much of her spare time looking after her two children, their dogs, Bear and Joey, and the family cat, Cindy.

    Courtney McArdle

    Student Veterinary Nurse

    Courtney began her veterinary career as a large animal administrator and began working towards her veterinary nursing diploma, with a focus on companion animals, in 2022. She has a big soft spot for our feline patients, and has a senior cat of her own called Tico at home.

    Animal Care Assistant

    Our enthusiastic animal care assistant Jennifer has been with us since 2017 and helps keep morale high at our practice. She enjoys taking an active role in her local community and has a rescue dog called Frankie, who has thrived under her care. In her free time, she likes going for walks and helping out at her local stables.

    Animal Care Assistant

    Catherine is originally from County Tipperary and joined our team in 2021. A gentle and empathetic animal care assistant, she usually has a smile on her face and is always happy to help with client queries.
