Your friendly community vets in Newry and Warrenpoint
We pride ourselves on providing a friendly and relaxed environment for local pets and farm animals, and offer round-the-clock support at our branches in Newry and Warrenpoint.
When our founders Liam Fitzsimons, Paul Fegan and Cary Grant started our practice in 2000, things looked quite different!
The grand chandeliers, marble arches and heavy carpets in our waiting room have made way for a more animal friendly decor, and today you can find a range of modern facilities, from an in-house laboratory and recovery kennels to a well-equipped surgical theatre and spacious outdoor area.
While our focus was initially large animals, there was always a good amount of small animal patients in the mix, and we are now delighted to be a fully mixed practice with a thriving small animal department.
Our supportive team has a wide variety of mixed practice experience between them, and are confident in treating all manner of cases.
Small animal patients can make the most of a range of services, including ultrasound, nurse consults, senior health checks, diabetes and weight management clinics.
Our extensive farm offering includes bull and ram fertility testing and clinics, bovine scans, surgeries and callouts, and we pride ourselves on working with businesses, farmers and owners to provide a fully personalised service tailored to your needs.
Plus, all small and large animals can rely on 24/7 support, as we always have a team member on call as part of our out of hours service.
Getting to know local animals and clients over the years has inspired us to give back to our community, and our team is always looking for ways to support our local area and beyond.
That’s why we raise money for local charities every Christmas, run raffles to support countries affected by conflict, have a collection box at reception for a local guide dog charity and support local dog shows and other animal-related fundraising events.
As a training practice for student vets and nurses, we’re also passionate about getting children excited about animal care and veterinary work.
We love visiting schools and doing fun demonstrations, as it’s great to meet inquisitive youngsters, answer their questions and hear stories about their pets!
We’re always thrilled to welcome new and old clients to our practice, and can’t wait to see you at your next appointment.
