Mr Liam Fitzsimons MVB MRCVS, a Dublin graduate, spent his early years working in mixed animal practice in both Northern and Southern Ireland. A keen historian he greatly enjoyed working in many different areas, taking the time to learn the local history and made many friends on the way. In 2001 he moved to Newry and blended perfectly into the team. Establishing links with the USPCA and local charities, he quickly became well known in the community and his extensive experience in small animal emergency work and canine reproduction have carried his name far and wide.

Now finally settled, Liam not satisfied with just seeing animals all day, has created his own personal menagerie at home of dogs, chickens, donkeys and horses! When not busy with the animals he loves to garden, has an interest in beekeeping and enjoys visits to historic places.

Miss Louise Samuel
Miss Louise Samuel
Trainee Assistant Nurse

Louise joined us in August 2011. With a lifelong interest in all aspects of the equine world, as well as her caring and understanding outlook, she has proved a perfect fit. Louise constantly surprises us with the energy she brings to the practice, especially when we remember that on top of turning up to work and pursuing an equine science degree, she takes care of her two beautiful young kids and a team of horses! In her down time Louise will most likely escape to the open air of a rugby match where she can cheer on her other half.
